Why Latiné
Familias adopted the term Latiné to describe our communities in an inclusive and intersectional manner. We recognize that there is no single term that will encompass everyone and that there are differences and preferences.
Language is powerful and can help create the realities of our communities. Language conveys worldviews and values and it has implications. Familias is committed to using language that fosters inclusivity and highlights intersectionality within our communities complex identities.
